TB II Battle Pass

Tower Battles Part II—Raze the Void—launched on September 26, 2026 with Tower Defense X’s largest free Battle Pass to date: seventy-two tiers, four event towers, 20+ skins, emotes, currencies, and more. Tokens earned from Casual, Hard, Nightmare, and Voidmare advance the track. This guide explains how the pass works, which tower unlocks matter, and how to grind without burning out.

Event systems overview: TB II Collab. Boss finale rules: Void God. Farming math: Gold Farming.

How the free Battle Pass works

  • Progress is spent in Tokens, not Robux, for the free track.
  • Event modes are the best Token sources; Casual is safest, higher difficulties pay more per clear when you win.
  • Rewards include towers, skins, emotes, XP / currency parcels, sendable enemies, and returning power-ups.
  • The pass is designed as a long grind—plan daily Casual quotas instead of one infinite session.

You still need permanent roster strength for Hard+. Spend Gold from Expert / Endless on Farm, EDJ, Medic, and late DPS while Tokens push the event track (Getting Started, How to Beat Expert).

Headline tower unlocks

These four towers are the reason most players finish the pass:

TowerApprox. tierWhy it matters
ScoutTier 3 (350 Token buy-in style cost on the track)Early unlock. Permanent stealth detection aura for towers in range enables wild loadout flexibility.
AviatorTier 23Mid-pass aerial DPS spike; strong combined DPS for its slot once unlocked.
PhaserTier 60Late-pass power for Nightmare / Voidmare lobbies.
Void TraitorTier 70Near-end unlock; thematic late DPS / flex piece for deep event clears.

Exact Token totals per tier shift with live balancing, but the order is stable: Scout almost immediately, Aviator as the first major mid-track goal, Phaser and Void Traitor as endgame carrots. Skins for Scout, Aviator, Juggernaut, Medic, John, and others fill many of the remaining tiers—see community showcases for animations, but prioritize tower unlocks before cosmetic crates.

Milestone roadmap

  1. Tiers 1–3 — Rush Scout. Instant stealth utility changes Intermediate through Hard loadouts.
  2. Tiers 4–22 — Collect skins, currency parcels, and quality-of-life rewards while practicing Casual / Hard.
  3. Tier 23 — Unlock Aviator; rebuild farm loadouts around the new aerial DPS.
  4. Tiers 24–59 — Steady Token grind; experiment with Hard Token rates once Aviator stabilizes clears.
  5. Tier 60 — Phaser online for high-end event comps.
  6. Tiers 61–69 — Final cosmetics and currency spikes.
  7. Tier 70–72 — Void Traitor and closing rewards; flex into Voidmare groups if you want the badge clears.

If time is limited, treat Scout and Aviator as must-claim, Phaser as high priority, and Void Traitor as the completionist goal.

Best ways to earn Tokens

Casual (recommended daily driver — post-nerf)

Casual exists so players can progress without Void God stress. Use it for:

  • Daily Token quotas
  • Learning Void Realm pathing
  • Warm-up before Hard

Late-September Casual reward nerf: opening-weekend Tokens/hour were dialed down within about a day of launch. Casual is still the safest daily driver, but it is no longer an inflated autopilot. Plan around steady clears rather than day-one spreadsheet numbers — full pacing notes live on Casual Token Farm.

Several creators still estimate multi-week completion from a handful of Casual matches per day. Consistency beats hero runs.

Hard

Hard introduces Void God and better Token payouts. Bring Medic / airstrike discipline from the Void God guide. Once Scout and basic economy feel natural, Hard becomes the sweet spot for many solo players — and after the Casual nerf, reliable Hard clears can beat Casual Tokens/hour when you rarely wipe.

Nightmare and Voidmare

Highest Token ceilings when clears are reliable. Expect Jet Trooper / EDJ / Golden Juggernaut / Refractor / Combat Medic style requirements and long matches. Duo farms exist for players who can sustain the micro. Fail rate destroys Tokens / hour—drop difficulties when wipes spike.

When Hard or Nightmare clears are consistent, they usually outpace post-nerf Casual for Tokens/hour. Peak-difficulty prep: Voidmare. Detailed mode choice tables also live in Gold Farming.

Loadout advice while progressing the pass

  • Before Scout: Use permanent stealth detectors (Laser Gunner paths, etc.) from Towers Overview.
  • With Scout: Experiment with DPS-heavy sets that previously could not spare a detection slot.
  • With Aviator: Replace weaker air options in Token farms; keep EDJ support.
  • With Phaser / Void Traitor: Slot them into Nightmare / Voidmare comps only after you can afford their upgrade curves—owning the tower is not the same as maxing it mid-fight.

Co-op role calls still matter. A pass tower does not fix a lobby with zero economy. Cross-check Best Loadouts and the Expert Tier List when mixing event towers into standard modes.

Skins, crates, and spending discipline

The pass and related shops include many skins (Void Scout, GDA Aviator, Death Knight Juggernaut, Hidden Medic, and more). Enjoy them, but:

  • Do not drain Crystals on vanity crates while Nightmare towers remain locked.
  • Tokens should hit tower tiers first.
  • Emotes and name-tag style rewards are fine after Scout / Aviator are claimed.

Free event loadouts in some TB II queues also let newer accounts earn Tokens before owning the full Gold roster—use those presets when your permanent six cannot clear Casual cleanly.

Sample weekly plan

Week 1: Casual focus → unlock Scout → dabble Hard. Keep Expert Gold farms for permanent Medic / EDJ upgrades.

Week 2: Mix Casual quotas with Hard clears → push toward Aviator.

Weeks 3–4: Aviator online → raise Hard / Nightmare Token sessions → Phaser on the horizon.

Final push: Phaser equipped → practiced Hard+ → Void Traitor and clear remaining cosmetic tiers.

Adjust for your schedule. A slower Casual-only plan still finishes if you show up daily.

Common Battle Pass mistakes

  • Skipping Scout because “it is only tier 3,” then struggling with stealth forever.
  • Queuing Voidmare for Tokens before surviving Hard.
  • Buying Crystal skin crates instead of progression towers.
  • Ignoring Codes and group Cash during the event window.
  • Never reading Void God airstrike rules, then blaming the pass for Hard wipes.

The TB II Battle Pass is long on purpose. Claim Scout early, schedule Casual Tokens every day, and promote yourself to Hard when airstrikes and Medic lines feel boring — especially after the Casual nerf, reliable Hard / Nightmare clears often beat Casual Tokens/hour. The four towers are worth the grind when you play the track like a season, not a sprint.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The 72-tier event pass advances with Tokens earned in Casual and higher TB II modes—no Robux required for the free track.

Which towers does the TB II Battle Pass unlock?

Scout, Aviator, Phaser, and Void Traitor, plus many skins and other rewards across seventy-two tiers.

As early as possible—around tier 3. Its stealth detection aura immediately improves loadout flexibility.

Do Battle Pass towers work outside the event?

Once unlocked, the towers are yours to bring into standard modes according to normal loadout rules. Check current patch notes on the Updates hub if a limitation is announced.
