Players Hub

The Players hub is where Tower Defense X theory becomes a concrete loadout. Tier lists tell you which paths are strong; this section tells you how five or six towers share jobs across land, air, and sea while surviving enemy fire. Start with roles here, then open Best Loadouts for named Expert / Endless / TB II squads and Towers Overview for the roster breakdown.

Why loadouts matter more than single towers

TDX by JOHN ROBLOX gives every tower dual paths and real tower HP. A solo S-tier DPS still fails if stealth slips, Farms die, or a water lane is empty. Strong players draft for coverage first:

  1. Economy (Farm)
  2. Support multipliers (EDJ, John, Commander)
  3. General DPS + stealth (Laser Gunner)
  4. Boss / armored answer (bottom Railgunner or Juggernaut / Golden Juggernaut)
  5. Flex: Medic, Missile Trooper, Warship, or a TB II event tower

If two slots duplicate the same job while another lane is uncovered, rewrite the squad before you blame RNG.

Core roles

Economy

Farm prints the cash that finishes expensive Expert paths. Protect it. Selling your only Farm to panic-place DPS is a common wipe.

Support

EDJ is the universal multiplier — firerate/range on one path, upgrade discounts on the other. John (especially top path) and Commander add damage amp and team buffs. Support towers win games by making carries cheaper and faster, not by topping damage meters.

General DPS & detection

Laser Gunner is the default reliable DPS with stealth tools. Missile Trooper handles burst cleanup when packs thicken. Together they cover the messy mid-game while boss guns charge.

Heavy / boss DPS

Bottom Railgunner deletes high-HP and armored bosses. Juggernaut and Golden Juggernaut provide sustained, tanky damage that survives return fire. Pick based on the map’s boss script and your cash curve.

Sustain

Medic keeps expensive towers alive. On Expert maps where enemies shoot your placements, Medic is often the quiet MVP.

Sea & specialty

Warship owns water. TB II additions — Scout, Aviator, Phaser, Void Traitor — fill event niches inside Casual through Voidmare. Learn them on the TB II Collab page, then slot them as flex picks.

Multiplayer drafting tips

In co-op, call roles in chat before Wave 1: who brings Farm, who brings EDJ, who owns stealth, who owns sea. Duplicate Golden Juggernauts with zero detection still wipe. Share bottom EDJ discount auras across the expensive carries. If a teammate already locked Warship, bring Medic or Missile Trooper instead of a second naval tower.

Progression checklist

  1. Own Farm, Laser Gunner, EDJ, Juggernaut, Medic.
  2. Add Railgunner, John, Missile Trooper, Commander, Warship.
  3. Unlock TB II towers through the event pass while farming Casual.
  4. Save toward Golden Juggernaut for Nightmare / Endless.
  5. Revisit loadouts after every major patch on Updates.

Claim boosts from Codes when available, farm gold with Gold Farming, and keep Wiki links handy for official notes. Return to the Tier List Hub whenever rankings shift, then rebuild the squad here.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Tower Defense X questions.

What is a good starter loadout in Tower Defense X?

Farm, Laser Gunner, EDJ, Juggernaut, and Medic (or Warship on water maps) cover economy, stealth DPS, support, carry damage, and sustain for Easy through Intermediate.

How many support towers should I bring?

At least one EDJ in serious content. Add John or Commander when you need more amp. Avoid filling the whole squad with supports and no carry.

Where do I find mode-specific squads?

Open Best Loadouts for Expert, Endless, TB II Nightmare, and Casual token farm compositions.

Are Players pages the same as the tier list?

No. Tier lists rank paths; Players pages assemble those paths into full loadouts and explain roles across the roster.
