Guides Hub

Welcome to the Tower Defense X guides hub. TDX is JOHN ROBLOX’s Roblox tower defense experience that launched on November 21, 2023. You place up to six towers, choose dual upgrade paths, keep tower HP alive under boss pressure, and cover land, air, and sea lanes in online co-op. This hub maps the walkthroughs players search most: day-one onboarding, controls and targeting, Expert clears, Void God and Voidmare, gold and token farming, PvP, dual upgrade paths, Crystals, Endless, and the free Tower Battles Part II Battle Pass.

If you just installed the game, start with Getting Started. Redeem active Codes, join the official Tower Defense X Roblox group for bonus starting cash, then buy economy and coverage towers before you climb the mode ladder. When placement feels slow, open Controls so First, Last, Strongest, Weakest, and Closest targeting become muscle memory. When upgrade trees confuse you, read Dual Upgrade Paths before you dump Cash into the wrong branch.

Core beginner path

New accounts should clear Easy and Intermediate until leaks are rare, then treat Elite as the dress rehearsal for Expert. Currencies you will see constantly are Cash (in-match spending), Gold (permanent tower unlocks), Crystals (premium and Nightmare progression — see Crystals & Ronald), XP (rank), and Tokens (event Battle Pass). Spend Gold on towers that solve roles—Farm for income, Juggernaut for durable land DPS, EDJ for firerate and discount buffs, Warship when the map has water—before chasing cosmetics.

Your loadout is locked at six towers before wave one. That limit forces role coverage: early DPS, economy, anti-air or stealth detection, late boss damage, support buffs, and a heal or bait slot. Use the Beginner Tier List for unlock order and Towers Overview when you need path roles explained. Named six-tower sets live on Best Loadouts.

Difficulty ladder and event modes

Standard progression runs Easy → Intermediate → Elite → Expert → Endless → Nightmare. Expert is the first true skill check: roughly forty-two waves, air and stealth pressure, tower-killing enemies, and an Eradicator-family finale. Read How to Beat Expert before grinding medals there, and cross-check the Expert Tier List for path rankings.

Endless and Nightmare reward larger Gold, Crystal, and Token payouts for players who can hold late waves. Farming routes, wave cutoffs, and Casual Mode tips for Battle Pass Tokens start in Gold Farming, with deeper Endless cutoffs on Endless Mode and Crystal sinks on Crystals & Ronald. Pair those routes with working Scripts only if you already understand fair play rules for your own client tools—this wiki focuses on strategy, not automation advice.

Tower Battles Part II — Raze the Void

On September 26, 2026, TDX shipped the Tower Battles Part II collaboration (Raze the Void). Event difficulties include Casual, Hard, Nightmare, and Voidmare. Hard and above introduce the Void God finale: the boss only loses health when other enemies on the map take damage, and its Extinction Event slam can be interrupted with a timed GDA Airstrike. Full boss notes and Medic / Combat Medic advice live in Void God; peak-difficulty prep is expanded on Voidmare. Event lore, mode list, and post-launch patch context sit on the TB II Collab update page and the wider Updates hub.

The collab also launched a massive free seventy-two-tier Battle Pass. Tokens from Casual and higher event clears unlock Scout, Aviator, Phaser, and Void Traitor plus skins and emotes. Milestone order and grind pacing are documented in Battle Pass; after the late-September Casual reward nerf, use Casual Token Farm for realistic Tokens/hour planning. Want a side Token hustle or mechanical practice? See PvP Mode.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Tower Defense X questions.

Where should a brand-new TDX player start?

Open Getting Started, redeem Codes, join the official Roblox group for bonus cash, buy Farm plus coverage towers, then clear Easy and Intermediate before Elite.

Which guide covers Void God and the TB II collab?

Use Void God for the Hard+ finale, Voidmare for peak difficulty prep, Battle Pass plus Casual Token Farm for the free 72-tier rewards, and the TB II Collab updates page for event overview.

Where do I learn dual upgrade paths, Endless, Crystals, and PvP?

Dual Upgrade Paths covers top vs bottom choices. Endless Mode and Crystals & Ronald cover late Gold and Crystal sinks. PvP Mode covers match flow and token quests.

How many towers can I bring into a match?

Six. Loadouts are locked before wave one, so cover economy, early DPS, detection, late DPS, and support before you queue.

What currencies matter for progression?

Cash spends inside matches. Gold unlocks permanent towers. Crystals fund premium and Nightmare progression. XP raises rank. Tokens advance the event Battle Pass.
